Release notes

Changes to the NVC have been made since the last release v1.49 (2025-02-27). For your reference, please find a summary of the changes below:

As part of our recent integration with Infoway’s new Terminology Server API and the addition of Clinician Picklists from Infoway’s latest publication on February 28th, we have made the following updates in the NVC:

Infoway’s SNOMED CT Clinician's Picklists

• The display names for the generic and tradename subsets in the NVC have been updated to align with Infoway’s newly created clinician picklist terms.
• This also includes the display name for some antigen concepts that are also generic concepts.
• These Clinician Picklist terms are published as the preferred term (PT) in the SNOMED CT CA Edition, following a defined pattern and guidelines. For more details, please refer to the Picklist Guidelines.

Infoway’s new Terminology Server API

• We have recently integrated with Infoway’s new Terminology Server API, resulting in the following updates:
  • If a concept is now inactive in Infoway’s SNOMED CT immunization subset only the antigen/disease mapping will be severed due the behaviour of the new API.
  • The integration has also led to updates in Infoway's version dates for some concepts, reflecting additional changes to the subsets.
• Tradename/Generic concepts that were previously mapped to an inactive antigen concept have been updated. The inactive antigen has been unmapped and either replaced with a new one if available or left blank, as it was not modeled with an antigen in Infoway. We are following up on this issue with Infoway. If left blank, this has also resulted in a blank disease mapping, as the antigen is linked to the disease.
