Release notes

Changes to the NVC have been made since the last release v1.114 (2026-05-28). For your reference, please find a summary of the changes below:

Note: Several updates were made to the SNOMED CT related subsets based on quality assurance activities and content changes included in Infoway's quarterly SNOMED CT publication and subsequently incorporated into the NVC. Updates made between official SNOMED CT publications are considered interim and remain subject to revision until formally published by Infoway.

Vaccine lots

• Refer to the 'Vaccine Lots' tab in the Excel workbook to view which specific vaccine lots are new. Column C contains a flag indicating whether a lot is new (marked as 'YES' or 'NO'). You can also find these flags in column O of the 'LotTradenameMapping' tab

Immunization Route of Administration

• Note that the updates to the new Route of Administration subset only pertain to NVC back end codes, and do not impact any NVC subsets or mappings.

Market authorization holder

• 657 market authorization concept codes were made Inactive in the NVC. These were originally brought into the Canadian SNOMED CT Reference Sets by Canada Health Infoway, but were removed during QA due to not being Vaccine related.
