Changes to the NVC have been made since the last release v1.106 (2026-04-02). For your reference, please find a summary of the changes below:

Vaccine lots

• Refer to the 'Vaccine Lots' tab in the Excel workbook to view which specific vaccine lots are new. Column C contains a flag indicating whether a lot is new (marked as 'YES' or 'NO'). You can also find these flags in column O of the 'LotTradenameMapping' tab

We are excited to announce several new features and updates to the National Vaccine Catalogue (NVC), aimed at enhancing the overall user experience.

Notice of Compliance (NOC)

Browsing Table Updates

• A hyperlink to the vaccine's Notice of Compliance (NOC) on Health Canada's website has been added to the NVC, providing access to authorization details and product history (e.g., name or ownership changes).
• The Tradename and Vaccine Lot browsing tables now include external Health Canada links to access the corresponding vaccine:
  • Product Monograph
  • Notice of Compliance (NOC)

Excel Book Updates

• A new HC-NOC Link column has been added to the following tabs:
  • Vaccine Lots
  • DIN
  • TradenameDINMapping
  • LotTradenameMapping
  • LotAgentMapping

Linked Routes of Administration

Browsing Table Updates

• The Tradename and Vaccine Lot browsing tables now include linked route of administration concepts, representing the SNOMED CT preferred term for the vaccine's route of administration (per Health Canada).

Excel Book Updates

• A new Admin Route Display Name column has been added to the following tabs:
  • Vaccine Lots
  • DIN
  • Tradename
  • TradenameDINMapping
  • LotTradenameMapping
  • LotAgentMapping
